TOPIC: Networking

1 p.m. Tuesday, October 4: We have heard consistently that our membership would like time to network with their peers from around the state. For this topic, we will utilize multiple prompts and breakout rooms to allow time for our members to connect with peers in similar positions close to their geographic area and from around the state.



TOPIC: Dual Credit 101

8:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 18: This discussion will be great for new and seasoned dual credit practitioners from the colleges and high schools. We will discuss current policies, procedures, and data.



TOPIC: Dual Credit vs. Advanced Placement

1 p.m. Tuesday, November 1: This is an interesting topic that has been gaining a lot of traction. Special guest presenter Alex Perry from the College in High School Alliance will offer a lot of interesting information,


TOPIC: Hearing from Students

1 p.m. Tuesday, December 6: This webinar will feature a panel of students who have participated in dual credit. We will be able to engage in conversations with them and see the impact of these classes directly from the student point of view.



January: We are going to take the month of January off due to people coming back at different times with their holiday schedules.  Enjoy the time with your family!

TOPIC: What High School Counselors Need to Know
about Dual Credit

1 p.m. Tuesday, February 7: Join us to hear from special guest presenter Kim Forystek of District 187.




TOPIC: Teacher Credentialing

1 p.m. Tuesday, March 7: This month our topic will be all about teacher credentialing.  We will dig into the language of our governing institutions and also discuss the dual credit endorsements being offered by the Illinois State Board of Education.




April: We will not be having a webinar in April as we hope you will all join us for our in-person Summit. We are still solidifying the date for the Summit this year, but we are planning to host simultaneous events in the Northern and Southern portions of the state to make this event accessible to all of our members. The call for proposals is currently open, if you are interested in presenting you can complete the form here.


TOPIC: Celebrating the End of the Year

1 p.m. Tuesday, May 2: We will highlight the great work that has been accomplished this year, celebrate the dual credit teacher of the year and scholarship winner, and solicit feedback on what you would like to see as we move into the 2023-2024 school year.
